Aircraft Ferry Tank
Save time and landing costs with featherweight ferry tanks!

Turtle-Pac Tanks are custom made to suit the client's requirements. Standard filler cap is aircraft fitting, aluminum alloy 6082 T6 Ø3" to facilitate speedy refueling from high volume pumps or jerry cans on remote airfields. Tank fitting is aluminum alloy and stainless steel clamps are fitted to filler neck. Outlet is usually AN-6 Ø3/8".
The fabric is nylon 940-dTex double coated polyurethane poltether suitable for Avgas and jet fuel.

Construction is HF welding, lightweight but robust for many years safe use. The tank is usually single skin to minimize weight. Each tank is pressure tested before delivery.

The tank is usually filled in the space created by the removal of the passenger seats. NO storage box required. Sturdy tie-downs are incorporated in the construction and the tank is grounded to the airframe.
A folded up tank can be carried as luggage on commercial flights. A Lt. (158 Gal) tank when empty weighs only 7kgs. (15 lbs.) approx.
